THE MICHIGAN CLASSIC

Thanks so much for your interest in our camps. I wanted to take a second to explain in more simple terms the U of M debate camps fee structure. The payment process for the Classic involves just a few steps:
  1. Choose your deposit. We offer two methods of application. Through early deposit ($750 deposit, no application fee, and a lower total cost but the deposit is considered non-refundable) or through regular deposit ($1000 deposit, $60 application fee, normal price, and your deposit is fully refundable until April 1). When you reach the application choose one of these two methods.
  2. Application. Keep track of the date you apply. Three weeks after that date is when your deposit is due. For instance, if you apply Saturday, February 6th your deposit (if early deposit $750 or if regular deposit $1000) would be due on Saturday, February 27th. If you chose regular deposit your application fee of $60 is also due at this time.
  3. Final Payment. If you paid early deposit, your final payment of $2,900 is due no later than June 1st. If you paid regular deposit, your final payment of $2,800 is due by no later than June 1st.
  4. Returning Students. If you are a returning student you pay a lower total amount. If you choose the early deposit option your deposit ($750) is due three weeks after the date you apply and the final balance of $2,850 is due no later than June 1st. If you chose the regular deposit option your deposit ($1000 + $60 application fee) is due three weeks after your application date and the final balance of $2,700 is due no later than June 1st.
  5. Classic Plus. If you add the extra week and choose the early deposit option, your deposit ($750) is due three weeks from your application date. Your final payment of $3,600 is due no later than June 1st. If you chose the regular deposit option, your deposit ($1000 + $60 application fee) is due three weeks after the date you apply and the final balance of $3,500 is due no later than June 1st.
  6. Returning Student to the Classic Plus. In this instance, if you choose the early deposit option, your deposit ($750) is due three weeks after your application date. Your final payment of $3,550 is due no later than June 1st. If you choose the traditional deposit option, your deposit ($1000 + $60 application fee) is due three weeks after your application date. Your final payment of $3,400 is due no later than June 1st.
  7. If you pay using the traditional deposit option, your deposit is fully refundable until the first of April. We won’t issue any refunds after April 1.
